Gryphling

A griffin kitten, playing with a ball of yarn. Mostly based off the anatomy and markings of a tabby housecat (which I can't draw, so yeah), with the avian elements of the face like the ear tufts, beak, pointed "eyebrows" and hint of facial discs loosely based on those of owls, particularly the Great Horned Owl. Eagles just didn't have the flat facial features I needed to easily combine the two.

The wings (and most of the tail) are all but an afterthought, I can't draw wings to save my life.

Three different cheap pencils on sketch paper. Not really that nice warm sepia color, that's the lighting in the photo I took because I didn't want to bother with the scanner. Steps here: [link]
